I didn't ever think I would get to see hollyhocks in India. This beautiful display took me off guard, and brought back so many memories of my childhood and home. I remember making dolls out of these old time flowers that can grow anywhere. I would use the blossoms for the doll's skirts and then make a head with wet tissue paper and let it dry a bit. We have a picture of Grandma Boyd standing by her hollyhocks at the South Fork Ranch, and we had them at the ranch in Starr Valley, Nevada also.
