Janet's Entry February 16, 2009

These are some pictures of the little Chapel where we go to Church. It's such a breath of fresh air and cleanliness compared to it's surroundings.
The first two pictures are of the back patio and baptismal font (red brick).
They have told us that the building was at one time a mansion owned by a wealthy family. The Church bought it and renovated it to serve as a Church.
The guard out in front at the guard shack is our good friend now. He can't speak English very well so he is coming to our classes and is showing great improvement. His name is Dave. The missionaries call him Buddha Dave. He must be a Buddhist.

  1. Mom and Dad! The little chapel is so beautiful. I love the baptismal font. It's so neat. Travis said he felt the same way on his mission about the chapel, it felt like it was a bit of heaven! So refreshing and neat and clean! That is quite incredible that guy is donating so much to the slum schools there. That was neat to see. AND I CAN'T GET OVER THE SIZE OF THE BATS, it's absolutely disgusting. Do you see them flying around often at that size? That is scary! Well, We just got our internet hooked up!! YEAH! SO I'll be keeping in touch better now. Sure love you!
